Recently I added some gold tooling to a set of bellows on a new instrument I was making, at the customers request. I have been doing this for some time on restorations and I originally made the tools for that purpose, this is the first time I have done this on a new instrument.
Here is a link to a short video of me playing the instrument: https://youtu.be/-Sx8rnKvI8s

Here are some pictures of an incomplete 40 button C/G concertina I am working on. The fittings and buttons will be gold plated on this instrument. Flat hand rests as well as profiled ones were provided at the customers request. It looks quite similar to the last instrument really, the main visual differences will be the buttons (gold plated) and the bellows papers which are printed with metallic inks. Quite some degree of experimenting, exploring, thinking and finally asking for advice went on when I was making those bellows papers its something that is really quite hard to get right.

Here is a picture and video of the completed instrument!

You can watch me playing the instrument here: https://youtu.be/fj0WJwKviJc
Its worth noting that this had a low D note put on it, D3 (146.83hz) – the next tone up from the lowest C on the C/G Anglo. Which most C/G concertinas don’t have. This is demonstrated in the video.
